Blaze Pizza

Reclaiming the Blaze Pizza Experience

Blaze Pizza Enterprise Marketing Website

Navigate

Overview

Blaze Pizza reached a critical inflection point.

The brand’s digital presence was built on a proprietary platform they did not own, could not meaningfully evolve, and struggled to integrate with the growing ecosystem of restaurant technology partners. What once felt convenient had become restrictive. Updates were slow. Costs were high. Flexibility was limited. Every new idea required workarounds instead of momentum.

The challenge was clear. Blaze needed to reclaim ownership of its digital experience and build a platform designed for speed, scale, and long term growth. The solution required more than a redesign. It demanded a structural shift toward an open, decoupled, enterprise ready foundation that put the brand back in control while reducing friction for guests.

Results

The new platform delivered immediate and measurable impact.

Blaze Pizza achieved a 70 percent reduction in monthly out of pocket expenses while launching a fully future ready digital experience in just four months from kickoff to launch.

Replatforming to an Open, Brand Owned Foundation

The first and most critical move was replatforming away from a proprietary system Blaze did not own. That platform limited integrations, constrained future features, and locked the brand into escalating costs with minimal flexibility.

We rebuilt the digital experience on an open, brand owned foundation designed for extensibility. This shift gave Blaze full control over its frontend, data pathways, and future roadmap. Instead of reacting to platform limitations, the brand can now proactively integrate new tools, technologies, and capabilities as the business evolves.

The benefit was both strategic and financial. Ownership unlocked long term optionality while immediately removing the cost burden and dependency risks tied to closed systems.

Decoupled Enterprise Marketing Website with CMS Control

We designed and built a decoupled enterprise marketing website supported by a robust content management system. This architecture separates content from presentation, giving Blaze the ability to update promotions, landing pages, campaigns, and brand storytelling without development bottlenecks.

Marketing teams gained autonomy. Pages can be launched, updated, and optimized in real time. Promotions no longer wait in line behind engineering tickets. The site now functions as a living marketing engine rather than a static brochure.

This decoupled approach also ensures performance and scalability. The frontend is fast, flexible, and insulated from backend changes, setting Blaze up for future enhancements without disruption.

Menu Visibility Powered by Olo

To showcase active menu items without duplicating effort or creating data conflicts, we tapped Olo for generic menu data. This allowed Blaze to surface current offerings directly within the marketing experience while maintaining Olo as the system of record.

The result is accuracy without friction. Guests see what is actually available. Teams avoid redundant menu management. The marketing site stays aligned with the ordering ecosystem without becoming dependent on it.

This approach balances clarity for guests with operational efficiency behind the scenes.

Direct Path from Marketing to Ordering

One of the biggest friction points in the previous experience was the disconnect between brand storytelling and the act of ordering. Guests would explore the site, then hit unnecessary obstacles when trying to take the next step.

We solved this by linking directly from location listings to the ordering channel. No extra steps. No confusing transitions. The guest journey now moves cleanly from inspiration to action.

This reduced cognitive load and improved confidence at the moment of decision. When guests are ready to order, the experience gets out of their way.

Faster Location Discovery with Radar Geolocation & Yext Data

Accurate, consistent location data is foundational for multi unit brands. We integrated Yext to power Blaze’s location listings across the site.

This ensures hours, addresses, and key details remain up to date across all touchpoints. Updates happen once and propagate everywhere. That consistency builds trust with guests and removes manual maintenance from internal teams.

The site now reflects the real world accurately, which is table stakes for guest confidence.

Speed matters when hunger is involved. To help guests find the nearest Blaze location instantly, we implemented geolocation using Radar.

By detecting a guest’s location automatically, the site surfaces relevant nearby restaurants without requiring manual search. This small but powerful enhancement reduces friction and shortens the path to ordering.

The benefit is simple. Less effort for guests. Faster decisions. Higher likelihood of conversion.
